Essex’s Amazing Author Event – Supporting Local Talent & Young Writers!

Exciting News!

I’m thrilled to share that Carley-Ann Osborn and I will be attending Essex’s Amazing Author Event at George Yard Shopping Centre, Braintree, on Saturday, 12th July 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM!

Carley-Ann and I first connected in 2023 when both of our novels—Astrid 2 (TG Trouper) and What We Can Be (Carley-Ann Osborn)—were featured in the local paper. As debut authors, we quickly realized the challenges of breaking into the literary world, which inspired us to become passionate advocates for showcasing undiscovered authors.

In November 2024, we hosted our first ‘Meet Essex Amazing Authors’ event in Braintree, giving local Essex authors, including fellow Austin Macauley author Aki McKenzi, a platform to present their books to an engaged audience. The event was a resounding success—sparking enthusiasm among the public, boosting author confidence, and, most importantly, inspiring young writers.

One of the most memorable moments of that day was the number of school-aged children who approached us, eager to share their own stories and ask insightful questions. That experience ignited a new mission for us—to do more for young, aspiring writers.

All profits from the book sales will be donated to NSPCC, supporting their incredible work in child protection.

Additionally, from these winners, Carley-Ann and I will personally select two standout students from each school, who will be given the chance to showcase their work alongside nine Essex authors at our upcoming event on 12th July 2025.
